Dubmood

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

One of the nicer performances on the New media meeting was Dubmood from Razor 1911. I kind of associate the music to working with softwares like fast tracker II and other tracker softwares typically found for the amiga and 386 PCs but Im sure Im way off :)

Dubmood was one of many people on NMM typically associated with the Demo scene.

Istheshit brainstorming plus new media meeting

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Brainstorming with Istheshit during the weekend, below Anders to the left and Linus to the right. Istheshit is a cool site with mainly geeks and gamers as visitorbase, especially the WoW crowd seem to like it since we have thousands of backlinks from typical gamersites. The relaunch of istheshit is planned for November.

The weekend also contained some seminars on the New media meeting, considering the price I think it was extremely cool. Digital music and art is amazing and attracts a very special crowd, I had a great time.

Sunday was a bit more relaxing with some walks, Norrköping has a very interesting city core.

We need a developer

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

If anyone missed it PeoplePath needs a developer, we sofar have one candidate that we might go for but of course we want more options (plus knowing of possible extra resources for other projects is never wrong), if anyone is casually interested, skype me, nick “palmstedt” or email me something you have done and are proud of. We think the perfect candidate is worth a salary of SEK 24 000 - 26 000, or a freelancer invoiced amount of SEK34 000 - 37 000 per month.

Location is stockholm, no remote workers. The project is PeoplePath and you need to be good working in LAMP environment, flash skills would also be nice. We assume you are a thinking mind and are not waiting for todo lists!

Nintendo DS lite

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Ajajaj (look it up in a dictionary), just realized there was such a thing as the Nintendo DS lite … which would not be a problem if it was not also for the fact that apparently this little console can play many of my favourite childhood games, Sim city, The Settlers, 8 to 16 bit like Mario games, just to mention a few.

I want to buy it but guess my work would suffer if I did :(, trying to keep away from it for now.

hmm … Settlers II is apparently out in a 10 anniversary package for the PC with new spiced up graphics but still the same game (I never liked to more live sequels after the second) …. :/

This is what happens after visiting the new gigantic Media Markt at the Alexa shopping center by Alexanderplatz, which I did a few days ago, don’t think I ever seen so many LCD TVs for sale at one and the same place before :( …

P.S. Media Markt is apparently also opening up in Sweden, I think they will not be dissapointed, Sweden is a very cool market regardless of what the gross domestic product per capita plus total amount of population says.

Back in Stockholm after having almost missed the flight with Germanwings, hehe and I was reminded of the fact that I need to exercise more after running from the S-bahn to the terminal at Schönefeldt (could be like 700 meters). Flight left 10:15 I got to the counter 10:03, strangely more people followed after me who looked as if they had yet an hour togo before departure (Germanwings says check in at the latest 30 min before departure on there site.

Today a quick meeting with PeoplePath, checking out the extra room we just rented and admired the disorder there. Will work in Stockholm whole of next week but now off to Norrköping over the weekend to meet most of the Istheshit crew and visit the Newmediameeting … after finishing the coffe …
